Anna lauk námi frá Myndlista- og handíðaskóla Íslands og meistaragráðu frá École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD) í París árið 1996. Hún nam síðar listfræði við Háskóla Íslands. Anna hefur haldið fjölda einkasýninga á verkum sínum auk þess að taka þátt í samsýningum á Íslandi og erlendis. Hún rak sýningarrýmið Gallerí Skugga um tíma, hefur verið sýningarstjóri og sinnt ritstörfum. Hún starfar nú sem myndlistargagnrýnandi og stundakennari í listfræði við Háskóla Íslands.

Anna graduated from the Icelandic College of Arts (now Iceland Academy of the Arts) and completed her master‘s degree at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD) in Paris 1996. She later studied art theory at the University of Iceland. Anna has held many solo shows of her work, and participated in group exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. She ran the Gallerí Skuggi exhibition space for a period of four years. She has worked as a curator and has published articles and essays about art and art history. She currently works as an art critic and part-time teacher in the department of art theory at the University of Iceland.
